Downtown

Description

These cristal pieces have a distinct pixel pattern. Downtown is a project created upon two existing shapes from the Cristalleries de Saint-Louis archive: the “rince-doigt” (finger bowl) and its “gobelet” (tumbler). In this reinterpretation, these two shapes now interact through a pixel pattern that adds up and plays with the transparency of the two pieces. The deccorative pattern used here refers to demographics and digital representation systems.
